"Hymns of Hyenas» is a five-person performance and is about my name, Huyen, and all the variations, interpretations, and stories a single name can have. The plot is told by the main character and four creatures in yellow morph suits. She is an author and a Hyaenidae species expert gaining worldly attention and recognition through her book, which shares the same title as the performance. The book is about the stigma towards hyenas and the similarities to how female leaders are perceived. Visually, this is black theatre turned yellow, with drops of fury textures and patterns of the four hyena species: The spotted, the striped, the aardwolf, and the brown.
